VIRGINIA ALWAYS HAD A FERVENT PASSION FOR THE WORLD OF SHOW BUSINESS EVER SINCE SHE WAS A LITTLE GIRL.
SHE WROTE AND DIRECTED HER FIRST THEATRE PLAY AT AGE 18, WHICH WON 7TH PLACE AT A NATIONAL ITALIAN COMPETITION FOR YOUNG PLAYWRIGHTS.
BRIMMING WITH THESPIAN EXCITEMENT, SHE MOVED TO LONDON TO STUDY DRAMA AND THEATRE AT GOLDSMITHS UNIVERSITY. UPON GRADUATING, SHE FOUND WORK AS A RUNNER ON A VERY THEATRICAL TV SERIES CALLED “PINEAPPLE DANCE STUDIOS” (SKY ONE), AN EXTRAVAGANT “DOCU-SOAP” SET IN THE FAMOUS DANCE COMPLEX AT THE HEART OF COVENT GARDEN.
VIRGINIA CONTINUED TO WORK IN LONDON AS TV PRODUCER SPECIALISING THROUGHOUT THE YEARS IN ART AND HISTORY DOCUMENTARIES, SUCH AS BBC TWO SERIES “ITALY UNPACKED” WITH GIORGIO LOCATELLI AND ANDREW GRAHAM DIXON.
VIRGINIA MOVED BACK TO ITALY AFTER ALMOST TEN YEARS ABROAD AND NOW LIVES IN MILAN, WHERE SHE EAGERLY PURSUES A NEW CAREER IN VIDEO-MAKING.
SHE OCCASIONALLY CONTINUES TO WORK AS LOCAL PRODUCER FOR UK TELEVISION TO KEEP IN TOUCH WITH REALITY, FOR HER RECENT ENDEAVOURS IN THE WORLD OF ANIMATION FINALLY ALLOW HER TO LINGER IN THE BELOVED LAND OF THE IMAGINARY FOR DAYS ON END.
